Ajjampura TOURISM

Ajjampura is a small town in Chikmagalur District of Karnataka and has a Police Sub-Inspector's Office movie theatres, a Veterinary Hospital, and is home to the 'Amrithamahal' cattle breeding station.

Ajjampura is at the 'crossroads' and one can travel by road to Tarikere, Birur, Bukkambudhi, and Hosadurga. There is also a railway station, from where one can travel by train to Bangalore and Davangere.

Although not much is known about the history of this town, it is believed that the place was originally known as "Keral".
