Three days, one city. If you have only three days to experience the magnificence of New Delhi then you will find this crisp itinerary very helpful. While capturing the must visit heritage landmarks, we have infused some culture in the list as well. Wear comfortable shoes and tackle this glorious city head on!

No. 1
24 Hours

Morning – India Gate
Dedicate your first morning in Delhi to the iconic India Gate. Ride the metro to Rajiv Chowk station and hail an auto to take you to this stunning arch-shaped war memorial. Bask in it’s history before heading off to it’s neighbor Connaught Place for lunch. Plenty of options to feed your gastronomic soul.

Evening – Hauz Khas Village
Hauz Khas Village is the perfect reflection of Delhi. This is where the old meets the new. A stunning heritage reservoir is ensconced in a network of funky pubs and trendy bars, bringing your first day in Delhi to an awesome fun conclusion. Taste the thrilling nightlife of Delhi with a late pub crawl.

48 Hours

Morning – Lodhi Garden
Hail a cab to the tranquil Lodhi Gardens, which is home to several 15th & 16th century monuments. The beautiful soul-soothing concept of a sprawling lush garden gently enveloping these ancient monuments draws many nature lovers. After spending few peaceful hours here, cross the street for breakfast to India Habitat Center, located smack opposite Lodhi Gardens.

Afternoon – Humayun’s Tomb
Admire the inspiring Mughal architecture of Humayun’s Tomb built by the great Mughal Emperor in 16th century. Take the metro to JNL stadium station, then an auto ride of 2km to this beautiful old structure. The breath-taking red stone beauty of this tomb will perk up your Instagram wall.

Evening – Qutub Minar
Catch the setting sun behind Qutub Minar on your camera as grand finale of your second day. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the main features of Delhi. Built in 1206, Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. Entry fee is charged. Round off this day by heading to Kalkadas Marg where some of the finest restaurants in the city are situated.

72 Hours

Morning – Chandini Chowk
Give first half of the day to the chaotic Chandini Chowk. This expansive area is the very pulse of Old Delhi and is a mecca for gastronomy, fashion and jewelry. The market remains closed on Sundays, schedule your visit according to that. Chandini Chowk has it’s own metro station. Hit Paranthewali gali or Karim’s for awesome food.

Evening – Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah
Close by on Lodhi road, an evening spent at this famous 14th century mausoleum is not to be missed. Their Sufi musical nights on Thursdays is said to bring you closer to God, such is it’s melodious power. Cover your head while entering this religious place. Also dress a little conservatively to show respect. Sooth your soul further with a trip in it’s lanes for delectable Mughlai food.
