Kohima pronunciation is the hilly capital of India's north eastern border state of Nagaland which shares its borders with Burma. It lies in Kohima District and is also one of the three Nagaland towns with Municipal council status along with Dimapur and Mokokchung. Kohima is the land of the Angami Naga tribe.

Summer season : The summers here are never too hot and the temperature usually never soars beyond 30° C.

Monsoon or Rainy season : Monsoon in Kanpur sets in mid June and last until September. Rains appear between July and September almost at the end of regular monsoon season. Some rainfall is recorded during the harvest season of March–April.

Winter season : Winters (November to February) are chilly with minimum temperature goes down to subzero degree during nights.

What to wear : The required clothing in the summers is cotton and in the winters are heavy woolens necessary.
