You will reach hill town of Darjeeling by afternoon. The train journey is long and there will be tour representative who will come to pick you from station. Then you will check into your chosen hotel. Darjeeling is a wonderful hill station flanked for its lovely locales. The pristine beauty, green tea plantations, monasteries all draw tourists to this lovely place. Darjeeling is spread across an area of only 10 square kilometers. Ghum Monastery is a well known 19th century Tibetan Monastery located here. the morning the tour representative will get you picked up in a prepaid taxi which will take you to Pemanyangste. The jouney takes 3 to 4 hours and you reach Pemayanste without any problem. Once you reach Pemanyangste check into hotel of your choice. After short period of rest go to visit the Pemanyangste Monastery. The place has spiritual and religious significance and is worshiped as haven for peace. Visit Buddha Temple which is regarded as haven of peace. You can sit there and spend some time in meditation. After this visit the In famous Rabdentse ruins. You will need to purchase tickets to enter this area. Dense forest along with amazing weather makes this place a must visit. In the morning again tour representative will transfer you to Gangtok in a pre-paid taxi. The journey takes roughly 4 to 5 hours. By afternoon you will be in Gangtok where you will check into hotel of your preference. Gangtok is capital city of Sikkim. It is sinificant Buddhist pilgrimage site. After resting for some time you can visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology which houses both museum and library as regards Tibetan culture. In the morning you must visit Hanuman Tok and Ganesh Tok. Ganesh Tok has an observation deck. If you are fond of wildlife visit Sikkim Himalyan Zoological Park where you will see differenet species of birds and animals. You can do some rafting in the Teesta River. This is an adrenalin pumping experience which will just bowl you over. You can even go paragliding at Tashi View Point and Bojoghari Village. In case you desire for some more fun - do hand gliding. In the morning you will check-out from the hotel and leave from Gangtok to Kolkata in train. Get your tickets booked in advance as you might encounter booking problems if not booked on time. You will get all your meals in the train and you will be able to reach Kokata only by morning. The journey is almost 18 hours long so you must have things to entertain you through the journey. You can strike conversation with fellow passengers but make sure that safety is not compromised. Secure all your belonging before you sleep in the train. Overnight is on board.
From Kolkata you will take a train to Puri. It just takes 9 hours to reach Puri from Kolkata. In Puri you will firstly step out to see the very popular Shree Jagannath Temple. It is a very important religious site for the Hindus. There is this Jagannath Rath Yatra which is a very significant event which takes place here just once in a year. Once you are done with temple viewing you can visit the well known Puri Beach. The beach is located on the Swargadwar Road. You can indulge in some souvenir shopping here. In the morning you must attend morning Arti at Shree Jagannath Temple. The temple complex basically has one main temple and 30 small temples.
