One of the largest museums in India, it was established in 1949. The colossal museum showcases endless variety of articles belonging to the pre-historic era as well as brilliant modern works of contemporary art. Situated at one corner of Janpath at Mulana Azad road, The spectacular museum houses almost 200,000 works of art, not only of Indian but foreign origin as well, covering more than 5,000 years. The National Museum Institute of History of Arts, Conservation and Museology is also placed on the first floor.

For Foreigners: Rs. 650/- (including Audio Guide).
For Students: Students upto class 12th have free entry ticket (with I-cards).
