	Shillong, India is the capital of Meghalaya, one of the smallest states in India and home to the Khasis. Due to its latitude and high elevation Shillong has a sub-tropical climate with mild summers and chilly to cold winters. Under Koppen’s climate classification the city features a subtropical highland climate.
	Summer season : Summers (March to June) experience a maximum temperature of 23°C and a minimum temperature of 14°C
	Monsoon or Rainy season : July onwards Sambhalpur experiences the monsoons.Sambalpur gets rainfall from South Western monsoon.
	Winter season : Winters during November to February are freezing and minimum temperature reaches 4°C.
	What to wear : Warm clothes for summer and deep woollens for winters are advisable.
