Well, Akshardham temple which is situated on the bank of River Yamuna, is one of the beautiful temples and has become a main attraction of Delhi for the tourists from all over the world. Its construction was started on 8 November 2000 and after competing, it was opened for the public on 6 November 2005, This temple has many things for a visitor like a beautiful garden where you can enjoy evening light and musical water show for 24 minutes, a hall of values where you will see the life of Swaminarayan in robotic displays with sound and music and you can hear the dialogues, it teaches the morality, non violence etc, also boat ride will take you during Vadic period where Swaminarayan acts and brief the way of life of Indians during vedic period. Next you will visit Nilkanth Darshan, it is a theatre where you will see the film about the pilgrimage undertaken by Swaminarayan which is so interesting.
If you feel hungry, don't worry here you will have a pure vegetarian restaurant where you can
enjoy Indian and continental food items with soft beverages. After having a meal you can
see the beautiful architecture and design of an Elephant in its
complex and a charming garden will fill your eyes with its flare.
How to reach
The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International airport and from here you can hire a cab.
Also, it is well connected by Metro train (Akshardham Metro Station)

Water show : starts just after sunset for 24 minutes and it is chargeable for all nationals.

You must visit this temple once in your life as it is the incredible hindu shrine which you
will not find anywhere while entering in this temple something might annoy you, maybe you
have to wait in a long queue and have to wear off all leather items like wallet, belt, purse
etc, which you shall find inside so don't worry as these all are for your safety and
