India has many beautiful places, including mountains, beaches, green forests, etc. where tourists come from all corners of the world to enjoy this beautiful experience.

After doing a lot of research on popular destinations for honeymoon in India, I have prepared a list of 5 romantic honeymoon places in India, which will make your honeymoon exciting and unforgettable.

Andaman : Set aside from the country and in the middle of the Bay of Bengal ocean, the islands of Andaman and Nicobar is a place with immaculate beaches, crystal clear water, beautiful sunset which will definitely make your honeymoon perfect. Here you have many water activities like snorkelling, parasailing, jet skiing, scuba diving and other water sports to keep you busy. Also, you can visit Havelock Island, Neil Island, Diglipur, Chidiya Tapu, Barren Island, Cellular Jail, Elephant Beach and many more and in the evening they offer beautiful sunsets, distinct wildlife, migratory birds which would surely please your eyes and mind. This place is best to visit from April to June & December to February.

Andaman is well connected by air where you can take direct flights from Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai or from Delhi via Chennai.

Goa : The hippie tourist friendly city of Goa has its own charm and culture. It is built for any kind of celebration. It is one of the most popular destinations in India, also it is very famous among tourists and honeymooners as well. If you are looking for a place for your honeymoon then this is the best place for you as you have many things to do here. Morning can start with a walk on the beach, explore the old churches, sip cocktails at sundown and experience its nightlife till early hours of the morning. Admire the Chapora Fort, exploring its attractive villages on your motorbike or take an experience of Ayurvedic massage. It is also very popular for destination weddings, so if you are looking to take your vows by the beach side with the sun set as your backdrop, Goa is the idle location for you. The weather from October to February is more pleasant than the rest of the months but since it is a tropical beach destination, mornings and evenings are always pleasant all throughout the year.

The nearest airport is Goa International Airport, also known as Dabolim airport located at a distance of 29 km from the capital Panaji. The nearest train station is Madgaon and Vasco-da-Gama railway station. It is well connected by road from all the cities.

Udaipur : Udaipur is one of the romantic places located in the state of Rajasthan, it is also called the City of Lakes & White City of Rajasthan which is sprinkled with lavish palaces, temples with white marble, boat rides on Lake Pichola. Here you may have an experience of this exotic city while visiting the marvellous City Palace, a grandeur garden Sahelion Ki Bari, Bagore Ki Haveli etc, evening boat ride in Lake Pichola, sip cocktail and have a candle light dinner with your beloved will make your moment most romantic. Idle time to visit Udaipur is from October to March as the weather is more favourable but one can visit this city anytime of the year as the mornings and evenings are always pleasant, even during the peak summer time.

The nearest airport is Maharana Pratap international Airport or Udaipur Airport. The nearest train station is a Udaipur railway station. Also, it is surrounded by all regions and can be reached easily by road.

Munnar : It is a hill station, situated at Idukki district of Kerala in southern part of India, this is one of the favourite places of honeymooners. Surrounded by mountain ranges and tea plants make this city more beautiful. I also came here in the month of January on my honeymoon. I stayed here for two nights and the climate of this place made my visit so romantic as the weather was so cool during morning and evening and afternoon was a little bit hot but we enjoyed too much while visited 100 years old Tea Museum, Tea plantation, Rose Garden, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point etc and trekking on Lakshmi Hills was a wonderful experience where we could see the entire Munnar from the top of the the hills. Due to some reason Eravikulam National park was closed so we could not visit that place. It is a best place for couples who want to spend their time in peace. Best time to visit Munnar from December to March.

The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport at a distance of around 125 km from Munnar. The nearest railway station is Kochi or Ernakulam. Once you land in Kochi, take a cab to reach Munnar by road.

Srinagar : Kashmir, located in the north of India and known as the ‘heaven on earth’ is the one of the most charming and very popular destinations among honeymooners and other tourists for ages.

The beauty of Srinagar is uncountable and this place has been the first choice of Indian cinema which can be watched in Bollywood movies of the 70's. There are many enchanting places where you can enjoy an awesome time with your partner and make some unforgettable memories. From snow to water, forest to garden and monuments to temples, Kashmir has a bunch of everything for you.

One can enjoy a beautiful view of nature while sitting on the bank of the Jhelum River, take a ride of Shikaras on one of the famous Dal Lake, is one of the best experiences to make your honeymoon memorable.

Also you can visit Shalimar Bagh, Jama Masjid, Pari Mahal, Tulip Garden, Apple Orchards and watch migratory birds in Dachigam Wildlife Sanctuary. A romantic walk in the Mughal Garden and feel the romantic vibes while performing full moon Shikhara Ride to make your honeymoon more romantic. Best time to visit is from April to October.

It is well connected by air by all major cities in India. The nearest train station is Udhampur railway station in Jammu.

If you are looking for a destination for your honeymoon then you may choose one of the places which will be a great surprise for your beloved and it will remain in your heart forever.

I chose to spend my special time with my partner in Srinagar. We had gone for a week in the month of November. Right from the shikara ride in the dal lake that took us to our house boat to the delicious meals that the city had to offer to the amazing romantic mountain background, the city had everything to offer to us. We did not do much sightseeing but we went for a night stay to Gulmarg to play in the snow and witness the hospitality of the luxurious ski resorts. We also went to Pahalgam just to relax in the midst of nature. I can not pick my favourite moment as there were so many, early morning boat ride in Dal lake to see the flower market, reading my book while viewing the serene picture of snow covered mountains and sitting in the middle of the lake, witnessing snowfall for the first time while being surrounded by a white carpet or being in a hot tub and gazing at the stars, i can not make up my mind. I hope that this blog helps you in finding out your favourite and peaceful honeymoon destination in India and that it makes you fall in love with your partner all over again.
