The 13 days Kerala Karnataka Tour covers all the major worth visit cities of South of India. It starts from Bangalore and ends in Kochi. We will travel to Mysore, Nagarhole Wildlife sanctuary, Sulthan Bathery Wayanad and to Thalassery also known as Tellicherry. Visit the 'Venice of the East', Alappuzha, before ending the tour in Kochi.

Day 01

Arrive Bangalore and drive to Mysore(185 kms)

This morning you arrive at Bangalore airport, where you will be met by our official representative who will then transfer you to an air-conditioned vehicle that will take you to Mysore. The distance between Bangalore and Mysore is just 185 kms and is a charming route peppered by forests. If the time permits, catch something of the Bangalore city before leaving it behind for Mysore. Popularly known as the Garden City of India, Bangalore is a thriving cosmopolitan with rich historic background. Overnight is in Mysore.

Day 02

Sightseeing in Mysore

Mysore is the cultural hub of Karnataka and is a beautiful city that was and is still known, for its stunning South Indian architecture. On this morning tour we have organized for you, we will escort you all over the city, showing you the famous sites Mysore is famous for. Drive to Chamundi hill to visit the Chamundeshwari Temple to catch an amazing view of the city. On your way back to Mysore, stop by to visit Nandi Bull. Afternoon is at leisure so explore Mysore further or chill out at the hotel. Dont leave Mysore empty handed. The city is renowned for Mysore silk, a glossy rich fabric to perfectly embody this glorious city. Overnight in Mysore.

Day 03

Mysore to Nagarhole national Park by road (89 kms)

On Day 3, we are whisking you away to Nagarhole National Park, located only 89 km away from the city of Mysore. The drive will be lovely as you will move further into the wilderness surrounding Nagarhole National Park. This place was a hunting ground of the kings of the Wadiyars dynasty. Nagarhole sanctuary is covered densely with forests and has hidden waterfalls and streams in its depth. It is quite enriched with wildlife, and anything from crocodiles to elephants can be found here. Overnight is in Nagarhole national park.

Day 04

Sightseeing in Nagarhole

Nagarhole sprawls over a vast distance of hills and valley covered in thick forests. It is the southern storehouse of rich flora and fauna, holding some of the finest species of animals, reptiles, birds and insects. Nagarhole National Park is celebrated as one of the best wildlife parks of Southern India. Take a jeep safari deep into the wilds of the park, catching the glimpse of Indian bison, chital sambar barking deer, leopards, four-horned antelopes, elephants, tigers and so much more. More than 250 birds has been spotted in Nagarhole jungle. The sanctuary is also home to Jenu Kuruba and Koraga tribes. Stay the night in Nagarhole.

Day 05

Nagarhole to Sulthan Bathery by road (73 kms)

From Nagarhole we are guiding you to Sulthan Bathery. The distance of 71 km will be covered by road, passing you through dense forests surrounding the national park towards the charming town of Sultan Bathery, formerly known as Sultans Battery or Ganapathyvattam. Nestled in the mountainous Wayanad region of Kerala, Sulthan Bathery derives its name from the ancient Bathery Jain Temple on the edge of the town, which was used as an ammunition battery by Tipu Sultans army in the 1700s. The pre-historic caves, jungle trails and sparkling streams puts Sulthan Bathery on every South Indian travelers bucket list. Overnight in Sulthan Bathery.

Day 06

Sightseeing in Sulthan Bathery

Today you explore Sulthan Bathery. At an altitude of 1000m above sea level, Sulthan Bathery basks in a temperate climate throughout the year. The natural greenery accords magical views of the valley and is an ideal town to take a drive through. The famous Jain temple, dating back to 13th century, Ganapati temple and Mariyamman temple are fine examples of southern architecture. In the Ambukuthi hills to the southwest, Neolithic carvings are preserved on the walls of Edakkal Caves. Close by, admire the archeological and tribal artifacts housed at Wayanad Heritage Museum. Adventure seekers can mark the jungle trekking trails with their footprints. Overnight in Sulthan Bathery.

Day 07

Sulthan Bathery to Thalassery by road (110 kms)

You are shifting towards the sea on this day. From Sulthan Bathery you are taking a 3.5-hour drive to Thalassery. The town you are heading for has a colorful history shaped by many cultures who came to India for trade. The Portuguese were the first to enter this region, then came the Dutch, followed by the French, who made a base in Mahe. Final arrivals were the British before Indians took charge again. The whole dynamic gave Thalassery region an originality that makes it a wonderful tourist destination. The town is a leading producer of cardamom and the Tellicherry pepper, transforming this region into a major center for spice trading for the Europeans. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Tellicherry/Thalassery.

Day 08

Sightseeing in Thalassery

Haven been witness to an interesting mix of cultures, Thalassery offers a unique experience. This day you will explore this ancient town nestled on the Malabar coast in the state of Kerala and find out just what makes this town so charming. Scale the Thalassery Fort, constructed by the British in 1706 as a military center. Proceed to Thalassery Pier, remnant of the past extending out into the Arabian Sea. Those who dont want to limit themselves to the beach can book a boat to Dharmadom Island, located only 1 km away from the mainland at Dharmadom beach. Sample authentic Malabari cuisine eaten around Thalassery. Overnight is in Thalassery.

Day 09

Tellicherry to Kozhikode to Kochi to Alappuzha (53 kms)

This morning you will be transferred by road to Kozhikode railway station where you will board a Kochi bound train. On arrival in Kochi, you will drive directly to Alappuzha. Alappuzha, earlier known as Alleppey, is a picturesque town covered by a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. It is tagged as Venice of the East. Every year, on the second Saturday of August, the Nehru Trophy Boat Race is held on the Punnamada Lake. Continuous paddy fields and lush coconut palms scatters on the landscape of Alappuzha, projecting a serene beauty endearing to travelers. Overnight is in Alappuzha.

Day 10

Alappuzha

This day is designed to provide you extreme pleasure and also introduce you to the essence of Alappuzha. This leisurely day is created to help you discover this beautiful city at a slow calm pace. Several enchanting canals meandering through the town connects Alappuzha to the backwaters of Kerala. The best and popular way to navigate these canals is through houseboats, which are like floating cottages completely furnished with sleeping area, toilets, dining area and a sit out deck. Spend the day riding the houseboat, admiring the exquisite views opening up to you. Your food will be cooked in board by the staff. Overnight is on the houseboat.

Day 11

Sightseeing in Alappuzha

There is so much more to Alappuzha than backwaters and canals. Ahead of the beaches, piers and an old lighthouse lies an intriguing city with deep religious and historic ties. Many enchanting temples reside in the city of Alappuzha, dating back to 790 AD. The ancient Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja temple with 300,000 images of snakes attracts devotees of the serpent god Nagaraja. The unique aspect of the 1200-year old Chettikulangara Sree Bhagavathi temple is that the Goddess appears in different forms at different times of the day. This is a magical sight that draws thousands of devotees. The Krishnapuram Palace from the 18th century AD houses a museum. Overnight is on board your houseboat.

Day 12

Alappuzha to Kochi and then sightseeing in Kochi

From the sparkling backwaters of Alappuzha you will be transferred to the commercial heart of Kerala, Kochi. Formerly known as Cochin, Kochi has been a vital part of trade route for centuries. It was put on the map by famous Portuguese explorer, Vasco de Gama. The Arabs, Portuguese, British, Dutch, all have left their imprints on the history of Kochi and can be reflected in the architecture found all over the city. Stroll around the traditional markets, buying locally grown spices, tea, coffee and other regional knick-knacks. Try to catch a Kathakali dance show. Spend the afternoon visiting the famous spots of Kochi. You will be taken to watch the Chinese fishing nets. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 13

Departure

This is the last leg of your tour. Today you will check out of your hotel and start your journey to the airport for your return flight home escorted by our official representative. End of your tour.
