Kolkata to Bhubaneshwar to Puri
From Kolkata you will take a train to Puri. It just takes 9 hours to reach Puri from Kolkata. In Puri you will firstly step out to see the very popular Shree Jagannath Temple. It is a very important religious site for the Hindus. There is this Jagannath Rath Yatra which is a very significant event which takes place here just once in a year. Once you are done with temple viewing you can visit the well known Puri Beach. The beach is located on the Swargadwar Road. You can indulge in some souvenir shopping here. Overnight stay is in the hotel.

In the morning you must attend morning Arti at Shree Jagannath Temple. The temple complex basically has one main temple and 30 small temples. You must also go to the Gundicha Temple which demonstrates Kalinga style of architecture. This sandstone temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath. Visit Ramachandi Temple which is located on Banks of River Kusabhadra. If you want to pamper yourself into some shopping, visit government or private outlet in city for buying different handicraft items like coir products, metal ware, ikat saris, wooden statues sea shell items, papier mache masks, beach umbrellas etc. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Puri.
Puri to Konark to Bhubaneshwar
In the morning you will leave for Bhubaneswar in a prepaid taxi. The journey takes just 2 hours and on reaching Bhubaneswar check into your chosen hotel. After having your breakfast you can visit Lingaraja Temple which is one of the most prominent sites in the city. This Hindu temple has fantastic architecture. There are carved stone towers, courtyard etc inside the temple complex. You can also visit Z which is an elaborately carved cave dwelling. There is Jain Temple inside the caves. Return to the hotel where you will be served amazing dinner. Overnight stay is in the hotel.

In the morning right after you breakfast again step out for sightseeing. In case history and archeology are your true calling, visit the Odisha State Museum which is a very big museum with several historical artifacts and a library. Visit the Nandakana Zoo Park which has more than 1500 species of animals. It even has a botanical garden and a scenic lake. You can even have an optional day trip to Dhauli which has edicts of Ashoka. It is just 8 kms from the city. Overnight stay is in hotel in Bhubaneswar
