Itinenary
Board the Deccan Odyssey at Mumbai Ellora Caves
On reaching Mumbai, our representative will escort you to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus where you can fulfill all your check-in procedure at 15:30 hours. You will be greeted here in a traditional way. The courteous staff will put a garland around your neck and teeka will be put on your forehead. You will be taken to your luxury cabins and at the fixed time the train will leave the platform for Aurangabad. Lavish dinner will be served on board.
Aurangabad Ellora Caves
Enjoy spectacular and mouth-watering breakfast as the train reaches Aurangabad, the city where Aurangzeb ruled centuries back. The city houses few wonderful gems of Mughal architecture and is also the industrial city of India. The morning is at leisure and you can enjoy the services within the train, Deccan Odyssey or can have a refreshing spa session at one of the luxurious hotels in Aurangabad. Have early lunch and proceed for Ellora Caves, a perfect illustration and cave and temple architecture in India. All these caves are devoted to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism and have sculptures portraying the diverse cultures. From here you can proceed to the Daulatabad fort, perched at the top of the hill. It was built in the 12t century and has different structures like Jami Masjid, Chand Minar, Chini Mahal, Elephant Tank, etc. Come back to the train Deccan Odyssey to freshen up and then proceed for a delectable dinner. Night will be on-board.
Aurangabad
On the 3rd Day after the breakfast you will be taken for sightseeing in Aurangabad. Visit Bibi-ka-Maqbara, which is a wonderful imitation of Agras Taj Mahal which is a burial place of Dilras Banu, Aurangzebs wife, whom he loved dearly. The next visit is to a weaving center that specializes in the weaving of Himroo fabric. In the afternoon you can come back to the train to chill and then participate in the recreational activities that take place within the train. In the evening, you will be served an amazing collection of mocktail/cocktail in the lounge of the train, Mumbai-Hi and after this take pleasure in a lavishly spread dinner. Stay overnight in the train.
Peach
On the 4th day of your train reaches Ramtek, where you will visit Pench National Park. Gear yourself up to drive down into the middle of this park for an amazing rafting experience. The park was awarded the best Management Award in the year 2011. It derives its name from River Pench which passes through this famous Tiger Reserve. Famous for numerous wild animals like Wolf, Gaur, Cheetal, Sambar, Nilgai, Tiger, Wild Dog, Wild Pig and several others. You will come across nearly 300 different types of bird species in this park. Some of them are Indian pittas, Malabar pied hornbills, ospreys, storks, waterfowls, white-eyed buzzards, four endangered vultures and many others. In the evening get back to Deccan Odyssey, where you can enjoy lavish brunch. Later in the afternoon, proceed to your onward destination, Tadoba National Park. Dinner will be served in the train.
Jalgaon Ajanta Caves
On the 6th day you reach Jalgaon station as the train comes to a halt here. After breakfast on- board, you will proceed to Ajanta caves, which is also a World Heritage site. You will experience an exceptional model of rock-cut cave temple and brilliant architecture of India. In all there are 30 rock-cut caves and they are devoted to Hinduism as well as Buddhism. Admire the beaurtiful and intricate carvings, paintings, sculptures associated equally to both the religious convictions. Post this come back to the Deccan Odyessy and after lunch the train departs Nashik- which is also famous as the Wine Capital of the country'. Remaining day is at leisure and you can chill in the trains spa and take pleasure in the facilities and activities that take place within the train. Dinner will be served on-board this luxury train.
Arrive Mumbai
The train on the 8th day enters Mumbai. After an early breakfast make all your check-out formalities and leave this luxury train, the Deccan Odyessy at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Railway Station. Bid farewell to your fellow passengers before you head for your onward journey.

- The cost is per cabin per Journey.
- Government Service tax of 3.63% is additional and will be charged extra on the tariff.
- As the train runs on the tracks of the Indian Railways, the itineraries are subject to change incase of any changes in the routing etc.
- Price is subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
- Children below 5 years of age shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
- Presidential Suite can accommodate upto 3 adults or 2 Adults years of age and second child up to 12 years of age).
- Child Policy:
- Deccan Odyssey does accommodate children adult atmosphere we endeavor to maintain.
- One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
- For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.
- In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin.
- Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.
- All applicable taxes will be charged extra.
- Payment:
- 20% of the ticket value at the time of booking.
- 80% of the ticket value 45 days before the departure date.
- Cancellation:
- Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division.
- No cancellation on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date.
- Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 45 days prior to the departure date.
- Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 30 days prior to the departure date.
- Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 29 days prior to the departure date.
