Day 01

: Arrive in Delhi. Visit to heritage places in Delhi

Your 12 days Rajasthan Historical Places Tour will begin from Delhi, the capital of India. The city is a political center of the country and is also culturally rich. The city has held historical significance since the Mughal period as many Mughal rulers made it the center of their rule during that time. In Delhi you can see many buildings that were made during the Mughal period and they still speak bounties about their royal stature. Delhi being the capital attracts people from all over the country due to which the festivals of all different cultures are celebrated here with great fun. Being a world class city you can also see many contemporary architectural structures here. Some of the famous places of sightseeing in the city are India Gate, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, The Humayun Tomb, National Art Museums, Akshardham Temple etc.

Day 02

Drive from Delhi to Mandawa

Your next visit will be to Mandwa, a small yet interesting town in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Mandwa is famous because of its architectural buildings and is popular for the unique forts and Havelis. Mandwa is at a distance of 190 kms from Jaipur but is well connected with different cities of Rajasthan. The city has well developed road and transport system, it is also rich in cultural events and you can see some exemplary pieces of architecture in Mandwa. This small town is known to have several forts and havelis which are the living example of royal grandeur and architectural skills. The Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli and the Binsidhar Newatia Haveli are just the few to name.

Day 03

Drive from Mandawa to Bikaner

Bikaner is a significant city of Rajasthan and it shares border with Pakistan, the city is famous for the fort of Junagarh and is surrounded by Thar Desert. This North-Western city of Rajasthan was founded by Rao Bikaji. The sand dunes are found scattered throughout the district of Junagarh and tourists can enjoy the camel ride here. Bikaner is also famous for the research farms and camel breeding, there are many richly sculptured temples and forts that enhance the beauty of Bikaner. Some of the prominent places of tourist attraction in Bikaner are the Junagarh Fort, Karni Mata Temple Lalgarh Palce, Rampuria Haveli, Ganga Government Museum, Laxmi Niwas Palace etc.

Day 04

Drive from Bikaner to Jaisalmer (331 Kms)

Jaisalmer is popularly known as the Golden City, it is known for its intrinsic beauty and has also been the part of the Silk Route. Like any other city of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer also has many forts and palaces and it is known for the exemplary architecture. There are many places of tourist attraction in Jaisalmer and some of the most popular places include the Jaisalmer Fort, Nathmal ki Haveli, Vyas Chhatri, Patwon ki Haveli and Gadissar Lake. You can also go to some places for excursion like Bada Bagh, the Sam Sand Dunes and Desert National Park. This city holds lot of historical importance and is the living example of courage showed by the Rajput rulers. It is also the land of traditions where you can experience different shades of Rajasthanio culture.

Day 05

Sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is known for serving amazing delectable delicacies, if you are fond of spicy food, then this is the place for you. Some of the most popular dishes of Jaisalmer include Kadhi Pakora, Murgh-E-Subz, Masala Raita, Bhanonaloo, Mughlai Chicken, Ker Sangaria, Mughlai Chicken etc. you can also get the mild version of these cuisines. The popular desserts of this place are Panchdhaari, Ghotua, Laddoo etc. Jaisalmer is famous for the mirror work, blankets, embroidered garments, oil lamps, stone work, wooden items and silver jewelry. You also get beautiful decorative items here that you can pick for your dear ones. The famous shopping places are Pansari Bazaar, Manak Chowk, Sonaron Ka Baas, Sadar Bazaar and Bhatia Bazaar.

Day 06

Drive from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur ( 285 kms)

Jodhpur is also known as the Sun City, the city was founded in the fifteenth century by Rao Jodha. This is a unique city as a 10 kms wall divides it into two parts the Old city and the New city. The mesmerizing beauty of Jodhpur has always attracted tourists in large numbers and Mehrangarh fort is the most attractive tourist spot, the other popular places for sightseeing are Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mandore Garden, Jaswant Thada, Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Kailana Lake, Chamunda Mata Temple and the Clock Tower.

Day 07

Drive from Jodhpur to Ranakpur to Udaipur (255 Kms)

Udaipur is yet another significant city of Rajasthan and has formerly been capital of Marwar and is popularly known as the City of Lakes. There are many famous places of tourist attractions in Udaipur and the city is situated around the Lake Azure, which is the second largest man-made lake in Asia. Along with the natural beauty the architectural grandeur of this place is also impeccable. Some of famous tourist destinations in Udaipur are Sajjangarh Palace, Lake Pichola, Solar Observatory and Lake Fathe Sagar. Other places of attraction are Udaipur City Palace, Lake Palace, Monsoon Palace, Jag Mandir, Jagdish Temple and Ahar Museum. Udaipur is also famous for the Shilpgram festival that takes place in December.

Day 08

Sightseeing tour of Udaipur

In Udaipur you can enjoy the authentic Marwari food, there are many popular eateries in the city that sell delectable food. You must try famous Anda bhurji, Kachori, Aloo Tikki, Bati Chokha, Vada Pav and Aloo Bonda. This is a beautiful place for shopping as here you can buy exquisite goods. Some of the popular things that you can buy here are gem stone paintings, meenakari work, sculptures, marble carved goods and panels. Famous shopping bazaars are Bada Bazaar, Mochiwala Bazaar, Chetak Circle, Bapu Bazaar.

Day 09

Drive from Udaipur to Pushkar (320 Kms)

Pushkar is another famous place in Rajasthan, the religious city is known to have the only temple of Lord Brahma. Despite being surrounded by the Thar Desert the city is known to relive its beauty every moment. The city is full of temples and buzzes with countless activities all day and camel fair of the city that is held in the month of October is very famous. Being a place of Hindu pilgrimage the city attracts tourists all throughout the year, the most popular Brahma temple is also located in Pushkar, the other temples in the city are the Warah temple, Savitri temple and Rangji Temple.

Day 10

Drive from Pushkar to Jaipur (143 Kms)

Day 11

Drive from Jaipur to Fatehpuri Sikri to Agra (244 Kms)

Agra is though located in the state of Uttar Pradesh but is gem of whole of India as it is the home to the world famous mausoleum, Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal, which was built by Shah Jahan is regarded as the symbol of love and is listed in the Seven Wonders of the World. Different parts of the day displays the diverse moods of the monument. Agra was also the capital of emperor Akbar during the Mughal rule in India. The other places of public attraction in Agra are the Agra fort, Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, the Akbar Tomb etc. All the architectural monuments are magnificent and are known for their intrinsic beauty.

Day 12

Drive from Agra to Delhi (231 Kms)

On your last day of Rajasthan Historical Places Tour you will be taking you to Delhi. On reaching Delhi you will be transferred to the Delhi airport from where you can board the return flight to your respective destination. As most of the flights are at midnight, therefore you will not be provided with accommodation in the city.
