Day 01

Arrive Mumbai

The tour representative will pick you from Mumbai airport or railway station and from there you will go to your chosen hotel as per your budget. Mumbai is made up of seven islands. The city has so much to offer to the tourist. You can start with visit to Siddhivinayak Temple which is a popular landmark of the city. Drive down the Marine Drive and you will be amazed with level of development here. Other key places to see in Mumbai are Juhu Beach, Crwaford Market, Prince of Wales Museum, Kamala Nehru Park, Mani Bhawan etc. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Mumbai.

Day 02

Fly Mumbai to Aurangabad

Aurangabad to Ajanta Caves to Aurangabad

In the morning you will leave the hotel and proceed towards Ajanata Caves in a pre-paid taxi. Ajanata Caves are located at a distance of just 196 kms from Auranagabad. On the reaching your destination, you will leave for sight-seeing tour of the caves which have fantastic carvings and wall paintings depicting the life of Buddha. Some paintings also demonstrate the Jataka tales and are regarded as masterpiece of Buddhist religious art. Ajanta Caves are not open for public viewing on Mondays. These Buddhist rock cute cave monuments date back to 2nd century BCE. In the evening you will return back to Aurangabad. Overnight is in Aurangabad.

Day 04

Aurangabad to Ellora Caves to Aurangabad. Then train to Hyderabad

In the morning the tour representative will transfer you in a pre-paid taxi to Ellora Caves which are located at a distance of 60 kms. The journey is comfortable and on reaching toy will quickly proceed for the sight-seeing tour of the caves. There are basically 34 caves in all which contain Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries and Jain Temple. There is this Kailasa Temple which is the biggest monolithic structure in the whole world. Fly Hyderabad to Chennai

In the morning you will check-out from the hotel and leave for the airport to catch a flight for Chennai. On reaching Chennai you will be transferred to hotel of your choice. Chennai is center of Carnatic music. It is the capital of state of Tamil Nadu. After a brief period of rest you must visit popular tourist places in the city such as Government Museum of 1857, San Thome Basilica, High Court and Bronze Gallery etc. In the evening walk past the Marina Beach which is truly wonderful. Day 08

Chennai to Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram to Chennai

Today, you will have full day sightseeing tour of both Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Also known as Mamallapuram, Mahabalipuram is basically a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you can visit the very famous Shore Temple which is a temple complex comprising of 3 temples. Then there are Pancha Rathas which are historic temples sculpted in form a chariot. After Mahabalipuram you can proceed to visit Kanchipuram which is known for several temples such as Sri Kamshiamman Temple, Sri Kailasanthar Temple, Sri Vardaraja Perumal Temple and Siva Temple. Kanchipuram is a haven for shopping lovers. The Kanchipuram sill saris have an amazing appeal. In the evening you will return back to Chennai. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Chennai.

Day 09

Chennai to Mysore by train

In the morning you must leave for the Chennai railway station in order to catch a train for Mysore city on time. On reaching Mysore, you will check into hotel of your choice. Mysore is a beautiful city known for its brilliant art and culture. It was the seat of ruling dynasty in the erstwhile years. It is in fact regarded as the cultural capital of state of Karnataka. Visit the very beautiful Mysore Palace where you will see influences of Indo- Saracenic architecture. In the evening you must visit the Devraja Market in Mysore. Here you can buy spices, silk and sandalwood. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Mysore.

Day 10

Mysore to Belur & Halebidu to Mysore

In the morning you will leave for full day excursion of Halebid and Belur. Belur showcases finest portrayal of Hoysala architecture. Visit the Cheenakesava Vishnu Temple which was constructed by Vishnuvardhana to commemorate his win over Cholas. In Halebid you must visit the Hoysaleswara Temple which is a temple with graceful relief carvings. Then there is Kedareshwar Temple which is a 13th century ornate Hindu Temple of high renown. If you wish to do some water sports such as Banana Boat ride, Jet Ski, Speed Boat etc you can visit the Yagachi Dam which is just half an hour from the Belur city. Later in the evening you must return to Mysore. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Mysore

Day 12

Drive from Mysore to Bangalore

In the morning leave for Bangalore in a pre-paid taxi. The journey spans across just 143 kms and if you leave early you will reach early. Check into your chosen hotel. Step out for sightseeing in the afternoon. You must visit popular tourist spots in the city such as Cubbon Park, Lal Bagh, Vidhan Souda, Bangalore Palace, etc. Lal Bagh in Bangalore has the widest collection of tropical plants. You can see more than 1000 species of flora here. Bangalore Palace which is located here looks quite like Windsor Castle of England. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Bangalore.

Day 13

Fly Bangalore to Mumbai

This marks the conclusion of your West India Tour which takes you thorough different cities in the Western part of the country. It is a wonderful where you get to see experience so many things thus providing you with memories to cherish. The tour operator will arrange for your transfer to the airport or the railway station from where you will take a flight to Mumbai. On reaching Mumbai you will proceed for your onward destination.
